'Messy Church @ Kingswood this afternoon' just popped up on my laptop, making me feel rather sad!
It's difficult not being able to come together, but we really hope you are keeping safe and doing well.
We have another challenge for you from Messy Church @ Kingswood. As you may already know near Kingswood on Lamborne Drive there are 3 residential homes for the elderly. We have a good relationship with these homes and our minister was recently speaking to one of the staff there who was saying that there residents were feeling particularly lonely and isolated at the moment.
So we thought we could do something as a messy church to help.
We're asking you, with your kids, to draw and write some beautiful pictures that we can send to the home. The best and safest way to do this is for you to get crafty and make your beautiful designs, and then take a photo of them with your smart phone or tablet and email them to Messy Jessy - Jessicagrangewood@outlook.com and then she will send them on to the care home to be printed out for the residents!
We will send them off this Friday ( 1st May ) so please get your pictures to us before then!
Here's one from a young person at Grangewood Methodist Church...
And here is an oldie but a goodie! This worship song is great for your little ones to jump around to and use up some of that endless energy!!
Just in time for Palm Sunday. Whilst Jesus is heading to Jerusalem, he sends two of disciples ahead to fetch a donkey. based on Matthew 21: 1-1
