Our theme today is 'Despite everything' - celebrating the wonder of God's love in bringing a harvest despite everything that we may say is going wrong. Later on in this service we will share in an Agape meal so you will need to have a candle or small lamp, some bread or similar and a glass of water. This is a joint service with Grangewood Methodist Church.
If you have internet access we will be having a 'Zoom' sharing time at 10.45am (Sunday 12 July) on 'How have you seen God at work in these past days? , please do join us (details have been emailed out to you).

5 July - Jesus offers hope instead of anxiety in times of change- Interactive Worship -Rev Christine Fox
Wollaton Methodists are together again welcoming you as we consider how Jesus offers hope instead of anxiety in times of change, teaching us and giving us rest. This week we’ll be following Kingswood’s ‘Interactive Worship’ format. This means that after introducing the theme with a dramatisation of the Bible reading and a song, we offer options for you to engage with the theme.
Introduction and Prayer of Praise
Dramatised reading - Matthew 11:16-19 and 25-30
StF 477 Teach me to dance
- stick in mementos;
add verses from the Bible that are important to you.
This will become a great record of what you learn from God this summer which you can look back on!
Question 1 - Jesus says ‘take my yoke upon you and learn from me… my yoke is easy’ – what does this image say to you?
Question 2 – how does what you learn about Jesus from this saying, help you to ‘be’ as well as ‘do’?
StF 251 Jesus Christ is waiting- Jessica & Michael
Message - Rev Christine Fox
